Winterization consists of turning off the main shut-off valve to your
irrigation system, blowing compressed air through all piping, heads and
double-check valves, to ensure all lines are clear of water. This
prevents any damage to the system due to freezing water.
If you cannot be home at the time of winterization, be sure to set
your controller to the off position.
Local water districts require that all double-check valves be tested
annually. We charge a flat rate of $75.00 for this test. Your local
water district may require proof that your system has passed this test
and should notify you directly by mail.
